Anyone is welcome to come down this day and just watch and have fun.

** Rules are subject to change prior to the derby beginning as we work out the kinks. This is hopefully the 1st Annual, but it is the first. It is meant to be a day of fun, friendly competition to benefit a great cause, finding kids a home.***

Join us for a day at the ball field on Saturday April 6, 2024 12p to 6p at Bob Leonard Park in Farragut.
Just come and hang out for free and watch the fun of the Home Run Derby… or, grab your bat and helmet and join in the fun!

• First Come, First Served. Batting slots will not be reserved unless you buy a ticket in advance and arrive before 2:00pm.
• $10 donation buys 3 outs
• $15 donation buys 5 outs
• An out is any hit that is not a Home Run
• There is a (6) home run limit per at-bat due to possible time constraints and to allow as many people as possible to participate.
• Most home runs hit by an individual puts them on the leaderboard. We will not be measuring for distance.
• A home run for the adults is your typical “over-the-fence” home run between the foul poles as judged by the umpire on duty.
• For the adults we will be using a pitching machine
• Winners in each age group will win a prize. Prizes and prize levels (3rd place prize?) are dependent upon monies raised from sponsorship and will be announced March 25.

• Age divisions will be 7-9, 10-12, 13-15 and based on their age that day.

• Bats will be provided or you may bring your own.
• Bat regulations are as follows:
  • Metal/Composite/ Wood (single piece wood)
  • USSSA 1.15 BPF
  • USA Baseball
  • BBCOR.50
  • Wood from licensed USSSA Manufacturer
  • 34″ maximum length
  • 2 3/4″ maximum diameter
  • Drop -5 or -3 for adult division
  • No drop enforcement for kids 7-15

Pre-purchasing a ticket does not ensure participation if participant arrives AFTER 2:00PM | Please arrive before 2:00pm if purchasing tickets in advance. Tickets are non-refundable. In case of inclement weather the make up day will be Saturday April 13, same times and location.
